Q: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate -- ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?

A: I generally don't read books that I think I'm gonna hate, I'd prefer to spend my time reading something I know, or at least think I'm going to like if not love. There have been times when I've started a book I thought I would like but ended up being disappointed with, but I haven't ever gone into reading a book thinking that I wouldn't like it but reading it anyways lol.

Have a great weekend and happy reading lovelies!

Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you’ve ever read in a book – and how did you react?
A: Oh geez, anyone who knows me is very aware of how much of a sap I am lol. The first few scenes from books that come to mind are:

The Fault in Our Stars ~ The funeral scene near the end *sigh* I don't want to give spoilers for those who haven't read it (which by the way if you are one of those people, you simply must read it. Now.) but that scene really stuck with me and needless to say I was a mess afterward. There are several other scenes in this book that were very emotional, but that one I think stayed with me the most.

Marley and Me, & Where the Red Fern Grows ~ These two books had me completely in tears by the end of both of these books. I'm a huge animal lover so these two just tore me to pieces.

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan ~ This whole book had me completely beside myself with emotion, I mean honestly I was A MESS! I don't want to spoil it i you haven't read it, but it's just heart wrenching .

Also: The Book Thief  is another one but I won't get into that lol.

And yes I know I totally cheated and mentioned more than one, but as you all know by now I never can restrict myself to these limitations when it comes to books! Lol

Have a great weekend and happy reading lovelies!

Q: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?
A: As soon as I saw this question I knew what my answer was immediately. Faeries, hands down! I've been completely obsessed with them for as long as I can remember and I don't see that ever changing lol. It's very rare for me to pass on a book that's about Faeries, whether it's YA, Adult, or just a book on Myths/Folklore. If there are Faeries in it, I'll most likely read it if I haven't already lol.

Have a wonderful weekend and happy reading lovelies!

Q: What is the first thing you would do if you woke up to find yourself in your favorite book? via @GizmosReviews

A: Seriously only one book?! What kind of cruel and unusual punishment is this?! *sighs dramatically*

Well now that I out that out of my system, I think I'll have to go with Harry Potter. If I woke up in Hogwarts the first thing I'd do would be going to visit that amazing library with great haste! Then after that practicing spells and such, and of course getting into mischief that one can only find in a magical world such as that :)

Have a lovely weekend and happy reading!

Q: Best Cover? What is the best cover of a book that you’ve read and didn’t like?

A: Hmm I think I'll go with something I read recently for this one:

I was really looking forward to reading The Unquiet and I was so intrigued by the premise, but unfortunately I just wasn't really wowed by it like I thought I would be. Maybe I had too high of expectations for it? It wasn't a horrible read but I was slightly let down and didn't fall love with it either.

(P.S. my review for this will be coming soon :p )

But I still think the cover is absolutely gorgeous! The photographer in me is desperate to try to recreate that image lol.

Q: What blogger inspires you? It can be any kind, it doesn’t have to be a book blog.
A: Seriously?! Just one?! Yeah, I honestly can't just list one lol. And no, it's not because I'm indecisive and don't want to leave people out, it's because there are a lot of awesome bloggers I've met since I first started blogging and several of them inspire me in some way or another.

The bloggers I stalk (and I honestly mean that in the least sketchy way possible lol) most frequently and am constantly inspired by would be:

Some of the blogs I've discovered more recently that I'm inspired by are:

And of course one blogger I've been inspired by from the very start and not to mention one of my closest (virtual) friends:

And did I mention she's an author? ;) You should definitely check out her authors blog (Pixie Lynn Whitfield) for more info on her books!

Q: Summer Reading. What was your favorite book that you were REQUIRED to read when you were in school?
A: Well I think I'd have to go with To Kill a Mockingbird, A Tale of Two Cities, and The Iliad. And of course any and all Shakespeare! Although, I started reading Shakespeare right after I turned 13 so by the time I got to the point where I was required to read Shakespeare for school I had already read a good bit of his work lol.

Since I was home schooled it was a little different for me, but my mom always tried to have me read the same books hat were required in public schools. But I've always been a bookworm so it wasn't difficult to get me to read lol.

Q: Christmas in July! Someone gives you a gift card for two books (whatever that costs). What two books will you buy?

A: *sigh* Only two? Seriously?? lol. I have a never ending TBR list so picking just two is a bit challenging :p But I'll stick to the rules and not list more, although I really want to lol.

I think the two books I would pick are:

Chosen Ones by Tiffany Truitt

And

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

I've been dying to get my hands on both of these and I've heard amazing thhings about both books, so needless to say I NEED them! lol

Have a great weekend and happy reading lovelies!

Q: Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don't like and LOVE it? Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place.

A: Well there really aren't many genres I don't like lol. But I would say Horror used to be one of my lesser favorites just because I'd only read a few books in that genre and wasn't crazy about them, so after that I'd never given it much of a chance.

Then I got an ARC copy of Dead of Night by Jonathan Maberry courtesy of NetGalley. Now even though I wasn't a big Horror fan before I've always been fascinated by Zombies so I decided to give that one a shot, and boy was I glad I did! I ended up LOVING it! And ever since then I've been getting more and more into the Horror genre (still working my way towards Stephen King!). I'm happy to say that it's definitely moved up on my list of favorite genres!

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

Q: If you could "unread" a book, which one would it be? Is it because you want to start over and experience it again for the first time? Or because it was THAT bad?
-------------------------------------------

A: Well usually if I start a book and it ends up being a DNF, I won't remember it much anyways. But if it's a book that I though was just THAT bad, I can't seem to forget about it even if I want to.

So a book that I wish I could "unread" would be Twilight. I know there are a lot of people out there that love the series, but it just really wasn't a book I enjoyed reading at all. And I don't say that to be mean but I just really didn't see the point of all the hype it was getting. But that's just my personal opinion because like I said, there are a lot of people who really do love it and that's great. Just wasn't my cup of tea lol.

Now in response to the other part of the question, there are several books I wish I could "unread" just so I could experience them again for the first time. I always re-read my favorite books anyways but if I had the chance I would "unread": The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Harry Potter. The Lord of the Rings trilogy was the first High Fantasy I'd ever read, it was a totally new experience for me. And Harry Potter was my first venture into YA Fantasy and it was such a magical adventure from start to finish!

And of course I can't forget a few classics like Wuthering Heights, and Anne of Green Gables. They're two extremely different books but the effect they both had on me was one you don't forget, so being able to read them again for the first time would be wonderful.

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

Q: Happy Father's Day! Who is your favorite dad character in a book and why?

A: These questions just get harder every week lol. But I love them :p

The first characters that came to mind when I read this are both of Lola's dads, Nathan and Andy from Lola and the Boy Next Door. They were both great characters, and they were just very present throughout the book which in a lot of YA books isn’t the case. They were funny, supportive, caring, a bit over protective (but what dad isn't?), and they had a great relationship with their daughter.

Another pick would be Matthew from Anne of Green Gables. Now for those that don’t know I absolutely adore the Anne of Green Gables series, it’s been a favorite ever since I read it when I was a kid. Matthew is such a great father figure in those books, he’s incredibly sweet, caring, and loving towards Anne and always treated her like his own from the first time they met.

I tried to refrain from picking someone from Harry Potter this time even though I most definitely could have lol. Also, if you haven’t read Lola and the Boy Next Door or Anne of Green Gables, I definitely recommend them!

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

Q: You are a matchmaker -- your goal, hook up two characters from two of your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?

A: This question took me awhile to answer lol. But I think I'd pair up Puck from The Iron Fey series with Isabelle Lightwood from The Mortal Instruments series. I know Puck is a faerie but Isabelle has been know to date faeries as well as other mythical/paranormal creatures (vampires, ect.)

I think the two of them would make an interesting pair to say the least, Puck is really a sweetheart under all of his outward snark/sarcasm and is incredibly loyal. And under Isabelle's tough exterior she's a bit afraid of falling in love but it's still something she does want. Plus their day to day conversations would be hilarious because they both have quite a bit of snark to them so it'd be fun to see how that would play out haha.

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

Q. Activity! Dreamcast your current read.

A. Well I'm currently reading Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld, and honestly I have no idea who I'd cast to play the characters. I absolutely adore Deryn and I like Alek too (they're the two main characters) but as far as picking someone to play them, I'm just drawing a huge blank because I can't think of anyone who fits their roles at the moment.

Even though I can't think of actors to cast I do have to say I think this would be an EPIC movie if it was done right, but of course I;d be a little hesitant because there's always that risk that it won't be as good as the book.

I'm horrible at casting characters most of the time (if you hadn't noticed) and I know this is a totally suckish/boring answer, but if I do think of anyone I'll update my post :p

Have a great weekend and happy reading!

Q. Summer Break is upon us! What would be the perfect vacation spot for you to catch up on your reading & relax?
A. Well obviously my first choice if I could go anywhere would be Ireland! I seriously have an obsession and WILL go there one day! It's absolutely gorgeous! :D

But anyways, since I most likely wouldn't be able to go to Ireland for Summer break there is another place here in the states that I'd pick to go. I absolutely love the Blue Ridge Mountains, they're so peaceful and gorgeous

And I'd also love to go to Vermont on vacation, I've always thought it was a really pretty state

Q. This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother’s Day. In celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?

A.  I'd definitely have to go with Harry Potter, Molly Weasley is one of the most amazingly epic moms over! Totally love her! You can easily see how much she loves her kids and she's willing to do anything it takes to protect and take care of them.

One of my favorite parts is when she kills Bellatrix Lestrange, and for your viewing pleasure here's that particular scene from The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 :D

How awesome is she?!?!

Q. What is one thing you wish you could tell your favorite author?

A.  Just one? Really??? I have a lot of favorite authors so this is definitely a tough one for me lol. But I think my choice would be:

Dear J.K. Rowling,
I can't even start to say how much I love your books. I'd always been a lover of Fantasy but I had never read anything like Harry Potter until I picked up that first book, and there was absolutely no going back after that! The world you created in Harry Potter is such a fantastically magical place to get lost in when you just need an escape from the mundane everyday world. No matter how many times I re-read them I can't imagine ever getting tired of these books, whenever I have kids someday I'll be completely ecstatic to introduce them to the greatness that is Harry Potter (It'll be required reading in my house along with a some others lol). Not only are the books amazing to read but the books and the writing itself are an inspiration, being able to create something that amazing is truly a gift and I'll always be grateful that you shared that with the world.

Your forever fan,
Taylor

Have a great day lovelies, and happy reading!

Q. Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then "broke up" with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.

A. Hmmm I think I'll have to go with Gale from The Hunger Games for this one. In the beginning I liked both him and Peeta, although I think I was more Team Peeta (and still am now, LOVE him!) But after reading the last two books, especially after the end of Mockingjay, I just really wasn't a fan of Gale anymore. So I guess you could say I "broke-up" with him after that lol.

I won't go into details because I don't want to ruin it for the people out there that have yet to read The Hunger Games trilogy, which by the way, you absolutely must do!! But the people that have read it would probably know where I'm coming from.

Have a great day and happy reading lovelies!

Q. Fight! Fight! If you could have two fictional characters battle it out (preferably from books), who would they be and who do you think would win?

A. I just have to say, this is an awesomely fun question! :)

The first pair that popped into my head was Niall from Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely series, up against Keenan from the same series.

I've always wanted the two of them to really just duke it out, Keenan has never been a favorite of mine and was a bit too whiny/annoying for my taste so I wouldn't mind seeing him get his butt kicked ha. Which by the way would totally happen because Niall would win that fight for sure, and not just because I love Niall lol, but I really think he's the better and more skilled fighter of the two.

Happy reading lovelies!

Q. What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

A. Hmm I think I'd have to say Vampire Academy. I sooo want this to be made into a movie and it seems to be heading in that direction, but at the same time I'm nervous about it because there's always the possibility that it won't be exactly how I envisioned it in my head. If it's done well it'll be brilliant, but even if the movie doesn't quite stack up to the books it'll still be one of my all time favorite series for sure :)

Another one I'd be a bit nervous to see as a movie would be The Fault In Our Stars. I absolutely adored that book and was so emotionally connected to it, I'd be nervous that it wouldn't quite live up to the book. I've got the perfect Augustus and Hazel pictured in my mind so I'd be a bit wary as far as casting for those two would go lol. But if it was done well that would be an amazing movie as well.

Happy reading lovelies!

Q. Have you ever bought a book BECAUSE of a bad review?

A. I haven't ever really gone out and bought a book just because of a bad review I saw about it. There are times when a book I've had on my TBR list and been wanting to read gets some bad reviews, but usually after seeing bad reviews if the things that bothered other people who read the book don't seem like they would bother me or be something I'd have a problem with I'll still get the book and read it.

But who knows, it could possibly happen in the future :p
