Q: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate -- ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?
A: I generally don't read books that I think I'm gonna hate, I'd prefer to spend my time reading something I know, or at least think I'm going to like if not love. There have been times when I've started a book I thought I would like but ended up being disappointed with, but I haven't ever gone into reading a book thinking that I wouldn't like it but reading it anyways lol.
Have a great weekend and happy reading lovelies!
Also I just want to mention that since non-Blogger members aren't able to follow through GFC anymore, I would really appreciate it if you'd consider following me through email subscription, RSS feed, or Bloglovin (I'm officially on there now!). I'd also just like to say thanks so much to everyone who follows already and to any new followers!

I'd say that now too! Although there are still books every now and then that I think I might like but can't bring myself to buy/read because I have so many I already want to read!

I often, in the past especially, read books I thought I'd dislike because I still liked the premise or wanted to know where an author was going with a series I'd started a long time ago. XD Lately, though, I try to spend more time reading books I hope I enjoy than those I think I'll dislike.

I agree with reading books you think you will love and then don't. I have found that a lot with sequels where you get super excited about them and then they fall flat. That's disappointing.

Hi! This is the 2nd time Silk Screen Views is joining the blog hop. Following you by Twitter.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually not a huge fan of a lot of books people love. One of them is the Sookie Stackhouse series. It's just not my thing. The writing... ugh. Don't get me started! Ha!
We prefer people to follow us on SSV via Wordpress, Email or Twitter. =)

ReplyDeleteWhat about in school though? Weren't you assigned any books to read that you thought, "This is NOT my thing" and that you ended up loving?

I'm the same, I usually won't read something I think I'll hate.
