Q: Happy Father's Day! Who is your favorite dad character in a book and why?
A: These questions just get harder every week lol. But I love them :p
The first characters that came to mind when I read this are both of Lola's dads, Nathan and Andy from Lola and the Boy Next Door. They were both great characters, and they were just very present throughout the book which in a lot of YA books isn’t the case. They were funny, supportive, caring, a bit over protective (but what dad isn't?), and they had a great relationship with their daughter.
Another pick would be Matthew from Anne of Green Gables. Now for those that don’t know I absolutely adore the Anne of Green Gables series, it’s been a favorite ever since I read it when I was a kid. Matthew is such a great father figure in those books, he’s incredibly sweet, caring, and loving towards Anne and always treated her like his own from the first time they met.
I tried to refrain from picking someone from Harry Potter this time even though I most definitely could have lol. Also, if you haven’t read Lola and the Boy Next Door or Anne of Green Gables, I definitely recommend them!
Have a great weekend and happy reading!
