Q: When you’ve read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

A. Well I like to consider myself a collector of books, I love everything about them. The smell, the way they look, the familiar sound the pages make when you turn them, and of course the wonderful worlds that reside within each one. That being so it’s rather hard for me to part with my books lol. I have 2 bookshelves filled with them, not to mention the plastic Rubbermaid containers full of the ones that won’t fit on the bookshelves (I need more space obviously lol). Even though it’s hard for me there are occasions when I’ll give away or sell books, like if I have more than one copy, or if it’s one I can stand to part with and I know the person I’m giving it to will be glad to get it, etc. I’ve already decided that there will be one room in my future house that I’m going to turn into my personal library, but I’m sure there will still be books scattered throughout the house lol :p

Happy Friday lovelies!

  1. We're so alike. Haha. I really love my books and I rarely want to part with them. Before this year I only had about 100 on my shelves but now I have about 400. I just went completely insane with books and now I have very little room for them. That won't stop me from collecting, though. My boyfriend and I constantly talk about our dream home and one of the must-haves is an extra room to turn into our office/ library. :)

    I'm a new follower, btw!

  2. I also want a room full of books! But right now I have very little space. I try to keep it down to my three shelf bookcase. They are overflowing so I do need to get rid of some but it is hard to part with them.

  5. I haven't moved to plastic containers for my books yet. I might have to soon. I'm down to one shelf on my bookcase. And my closet shelf is already getting too full as well.
