Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This weeks "can't-wait-to-read" pick for me is:
Bloodlines (Bloodlines #1)
Author: Richelle Mead
Publication Date: August 23rd, 2011
"The first book in Richelle Mead's brand-new teen fiction series - set in the same world as Vampire Academy.
When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning.
Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive - this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone's out for blood." ~GoodreadsWhen alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning.

I seriously can't wait for this book to come out! Only 13 more days :) I know Bloodlines has been featured on a lot of Waiting On Wednesday posts, but I've been very anxiously waiting on this one for a long time so I couldn't help myself and had to pick it for my post this week! Vampire Academy is one of my all time favorite series and I was sad when it ended, but this series is set in the same world and I'm more than ready to dive into it again. For anyone who hasn't read the Vampire Academy series, I highly recommend it!
What are you waiting on?
This does sound captivating...thanks for sharing.

Cha ching I guess if I had a "world" that I could keep going back to for more money money money, I would too. Well when I finished the last Vampire Academy book I had two thoughts. 1. I don't think that is how the author wanted to end this (I think she wanted to leave Rose dead) 2. What a crappy way to deal with the character of Sydney, so I may check this out or not I don't know.
ReplyDeleteRachel,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and for following! :) I'm looking forward to reading it too obviously lol.
Chris,
Yeah I probably would too. I felt the same way about how things were handled with Sydney, so I'm interested to see more of her story in the Bloodlines series. Also, thanks for dropping by :)
