Waiting On Wednesday #22

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

This weeks "can't-wait-to-read" pick for me is:

The Scorpio Races
Author: Maggie Stiefvater
Publication Date: October 18th, 2011

"It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die.

At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them.

Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn’t given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen."

I'm dying to read this book! lol. It's coming out really soon so luckily I don't have to wait too much longer. The story sounds intriguing and grabbed my interest when I read the synopsis, I also really like the cover. I've really liked what I've previously read by Maggie Stiefvater, so I'm thinking I'll like this one a lot too :)

What are you waiting on?
