Waiting On Wednesday #13

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This weeks "can't-wait-to-read" pick for me is:

Half-Blood (Covenant #1)
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Publication Date: October 18th, 2011

"The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure-bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.

Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:

Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.

Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck."

I am so looking forward to this book coming out! I've actually just started reading Daimon which is the short prequel to this series, and I'm really liking it so far. The moment I came across this book it grabbed my attention. The cover is absolutely gorgeous it's simple, but elegant at the same time. When I read the synopsis I was immediately drawn in. I'll deffinitely be getting this book as soon as it comes out!

What are you waiting on?

  1. Hi, and thanks for stopping by. I've read Jennifer Armintrout's vampire series and the first of her faerie series, but I lost track from there since I moved out-of-country for a while (never saw one of her books in the bookstores in S. Korea). I need to pick them back up. Nice pick! Have a great day.
