Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Books I Thought I'd Like MORE/LESS Than I Did

Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly event hosted at The Broke and the Bookish.
This weeks topic: Top Ten Books I Thought I'd Like MORE/LESS Than I Did

I'm going to split my list this week, these first five are the books I thought I'd like less but was pleasantly surprised by:

1. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
2. Dead of Night by Jonathan Maberry
3. True Grit by Charles Portis
4. Send Me a Sign by Tiffany Schmidt
5. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

These next five are books I was really excited about but unfortunately fell short for me:

6. When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle
7. Dearly, Beloved by Lia Habel
8. Kissing Shakespeare by Pamela Mingle
9. Insurgent by Veronica Roth
10. Legend by Marie Lu

What's your Top Ten this week?

Also I just want to mention that since non-Blogger members aren't able to follow through GFC anymore, I would really appreciate it if you'd consider following me through email subscription, RSS feed, or Bloglovin (I'm officially on there now!). I'd also just like to say thanks so much to everyone who follows already and to any new followers!

  1. Under the Never Sky was INCREDIBLE! I too didn't expect it to be that good. And, I also was disappointed by Insurgent. Great list!

  2. I LOVED Under the Never Sky. It was so awesome! I actually really liked Legend, although the second book wasn't as good. And I thought that Insurgent was no where's near as good as Divergent, mostly because of the ending....I DON'T LIKE CLIFFHANGERS!!! GREAT PICKS!!

  3. I have to totally agree with you on Insurgent! I loved Divergent and felt that Insurgent just didn't live up to Divergent. Here's hoping the finale is good!

  4. I never finished When You Were Mine, though I can't really recall why. Anyway, nice list!

  7. Weeee! Under the Never Sky! Love, love, love! I still need to read Through the Ever Night. :( *cries* Completely agree with your likes except for Send Me a Sign only because I haven't read that one. I should look it up. :P

Ugh. Hated When You Were Mine and Kissing Shakespeare so much. I wanted to throw those books. Lol. And Insurgent was so disappointing that I almost didn't want to continue the series. Blegh. Have you seen the movie announcements and stuff? I don't think I'll bother with it. Ha!
